Our cosmetics originate from the development of an eco-sustainable project based on a circular economy aimed at recovering and enhancing the by-products from the Piedirosso grape's winemaking residues. Phytoactive extracts, rich in resveratrol, are obtained from fermented grape skins, sourced from the Crù Prodivi selection FRUPA PIEDIROSSO 'BIO' vineyards. Cultivated on volcanic soils resulting from the PLINIAN ERUPTION of 79 A.D. on our estate located at the slopes of the 'Vesuvius National Park.' Archaeological evidence from 2000 years ago in the ancient city of POMPEII documented the use of grape fruits for the preparation of oils and ointments.
FRUPA, derived from Latin 'fructus papilionis,' translates to 'fruits of the butterfly': a symbol of love and passion that drove the creation of this emblematic wine project for our company.
